Diameter 0.15 mm of irdium wire can be produced by powder metallurgy and melt casting-pressure processing. Filament is used as a high temperature oxidation resistant thermocouple material and filament material. Ir-W thermocouple E2200°C=44.19mv, in the range of 1000～2000°C, the relationship between thermoelectric potential and temperature is almost straight, but can only be used in neutral atmosphere or vacuum.
